For Those Who Wait a Little Longer Wait

The World Vision presents the For Those Who Wait Tour featuring Fireflight, Group 1 Crew and Manic Drive is just a few days away. And now we’re going to make you wait a little longer.

Due to some facility/travel adjustments, we need to move the show times back a bit. VIP doors will now open at 5:30pm w/”Heart of the Artist” w/Fireflight starting at 5:45pm. General Admission doors open at 6:10 and Manic Drive kicking off the show at 6:30pm

Tickets are available now through our online ticketing partner TicketsTADA. Remember group sales and early discounts end on Friday. Tickets are also available at the Family Christian Store near Tippecanoe Mall on Highway 38 and at the 1st Assembly of God Church office during office hours. Group sales discounts are only available online.

Friday Night LIVE Wrap w/Triple XXX

Much thanks to Red Umbrella (@RedUmbrellaBand), Mr. Heath McNease (found him on Twitter - @heathmcnasty), The Gideon Press, Justin Paschal and 1st Assembly for making the first Friday Night LIVE happen. Great show! Wish more people would have come out to enjoy it.

Thanks to Heath for picking up the phone in the bull pen when From the Rooftop had to step out ill (hope you get better, Seth). He took the call at 4pm at the suggestion of Dennis from RU who mentioned he was hanging in the Fort Wayne-area. He jumped in the car and joined the show. Thanks to TGP for adjusting their schedule to help make it happen, too.

To round out RU and Heath’s Lafayette experience, we went to Triple XXX at midnight (Friday of a home game weekend). They were stoked to find a place at midnight in Greater Lafayette that had been featured on Drive-ins, Diners and Dives. Several enjoyed the Leroy Loin (featured on Triple D), a Boilermaker Pete (sans cheese – does that still make it a “Pete”?) and even a Duane Purvis Burger (w/peanut butter and solid onion slice – also featured on Triple D, though I think it made Guy cry). Great cap to the night.

On to our next show – the World Vision presents the For Those Who Wait Tour featuring Fireflight, Group 1 Crew and Manic Drive, Sunday, Oct. 3, 6pm at 1st Assembly, Lafayette. Tickets are on sale with our VIP block going quickly. The VIP package includes a Q and A w/Fireflight followed by a short acoustic set. VIPs also have the chance to pick their seats ahead of the general admission ticket holders, so you can choose your favorite place – up front, center, side – it’s up to you.

Pre-sale VIP tickets are $22 and $26 at the door (if not sold out).

General Admission tickets are $15 pre-sale, $19 at the door.

Group sales (10+) are pre-sale, online only: $20-VIP, $13-General

We Go LIVE in 24-hrs

At the time of this posting (7pm EDT/6pm CDT, Thursday September 16, 2010), we are 24-hours from kicking off Friday Night LIVE! Our first event in a concert series we hope will be a great opportunity for people to hear bands they know, some they don’t and help us find more to feature. Justin Paschal (Lafayette) will kick-off the show followed by From the Rooftop (Mishawaka), The Gideon Press (Monticello, Kokomo and more) and wrapping with Red Umbrella (Ontario, Canada by way of Valparaiso).

1st Assembly is hosting the event and it is open to the whole world :-) . Please make plans to join us – be it after dinner, after the game, instead of dinner or the game…just because.

$5 at the door covers ya’. Also, for those at the event, we’ll have For Those Who Wait Concert Tour Tickets featuring Fireflight, Group 1 Crew and Manic Drive tickets at a discount. That show is Sunday, Oct. 3 at 1st Assembly, Lafayette and tickets are moving pretty well for it, so you don’t want to wait. VIP tickets have been going fast.
